The municipality of Laranjeiras do Sul (30,783 inhabitants in 2010; 671 sq. km)
is located in central south Paraná, 360 km of Curitiba. Laranjeiras do Sul, the
capital of the former Iguaçu Federal Territory (1943- 946), was established as a
municipality by State Decree-Law No. 533 of 21 November 1946 and inaugurated on
30 November 1946.
The official colors are white, sky blue, leaf green and
yellow, as prescribed by Municipal Law No. 9 of 11 May
1992. Whether the Law prescribes the flag or only the official colors of the
municipality is not said in the source. The tree is most probably an
araucaria, the symbol of Paraná.

The flag is seen on
photos of the civic parade celebrating the 65th anniversary of the
establishment of the town. One of the photo shows the flag as described:

Another photo shows the flag with the lower stripe orange instead of yellow
(compare with the neighbouring flag of Brazil). This color variant probably
highlights the name the town, which literally means "southern orange trees":
