Obertrubach Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a ruined castle Sable with two towers on top of a triplemount issuant Argent, in chief an impending wolf head Sable tongued Gules.
Meaning:
In 1972 Obertrubach incorporated the municipality of Wolfsberg and adopted the arms of this former municipality. The arms are partially canting for Wolfsberg, precisely wolf head and triplemount are canting elements. The ruined castle is a representation of Wolfsberg Castle, which had been the seat of the namesake kin, which died out in the 14th century. The colours black and golden are those of the Archbishopric of Bamberg, to which Wolfsberg historically belonged.
