Shield Or, on a mount issuant Vert a man statant, dressesd and capped Sable, with embroideries and shoes Gules, holding a mattock Argent hafted Sable by his right hand and an eradicated seedling Vert by his left hand.
Meaning:
The Reinhardsbrunn Monastrery tried to establish a market in 1209. The town gained city rights in 1597. The pattern appeared on a local seal from 1645, is however probably older. The ensemble with farmer and mattock (German: Rodehacke) is considered to be canting.
