Shield Argent, issuant from base e three level rock Azure, on its top a reversed 7-point star Gules.
Meaning:
According to the Forestal Journal of Kieser (1684) the village used as a local symbol on boundary stones a 6-point star on top of a two level rock. This pattern appears also on local seals from the 19zh and 20th century. It displays the family arms of the Barons of Sternenfels, living in the village since 1232. The tinctures were fixed in 1964.

Banner, flag and arms were approved on 29 March 1965 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 241/1965. After Diefenbach had been incorporated on 1 January 1974 the symbols were confirmed on 25 October 1979 by the county administration, published in GABl 255/1980.
