European Union fisheries control

The flag hoisted by the fisheries control vessels operating in the waters of European Union is a triangular flag, quartered blue and yellow. The flag was adopted on 20 May 1987 by EEC Regulation No. 1382/87.

North Sea fisheries control

The same flag is shown by Pedersen [ped80] as the North Sea fisheries control pennant.
Verzameling van verordeningen voor de Koninklijke Marine Nr. 9; Kleuren en afmetingen van vlaggen, vaandels enz., van belang voor de Koninklijke Marine, issued by the Royal Netherlands Navy, also shows this flag.
This flag was suppressed after the adoption of the European Union fisheries control pennant (cf. French Note No. 3310 P-6, 18 November 1987).
