In the movie I noticed a flag: A green bar in the middle of a red field, and a blue triangle with a white broken stripe. (Of course, I am not sure what the proper proportions are and what shades of colours were used.)
The flag is similar to the flag of Moldavian SSR and
the movie takes place in a closed territory somewhere in Eastern Europe.
So, I think the designer of the flag modelled it after the Moldavian SSR /
Transnistrian one.
