Coat of arms of Ružić - Image by Željko Heimer, 9 January 2015
The coat of arms is "Vert a mausoleum or".
Green stands for the Petrovo Polje (Peter's Plain), covering the municipal territory, and golden-yellow is for wheat, the main agricultural product.
The arms represent the family mausoleum (photo) built in the village of Otavice by the great Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrovic, dominating the Petrovo Polje. The mausoleum was much devastated in the 1990s war.
