The Flag

Ohtawara city in Tochigi adopted its flag on November 26 1969.
proportion: 2:3
field: dark green
emblem: marigold
size of emblem is 3/5 of width.
Stylized kanji Oh (大) of Ohtawara in shape of flying bird.

Kurobane Town / 黒羽町

The flag of the former town of Kurobane was blue with mark. The town is now, from 2005, part of the city of Otawara.

The design is based on the kanji character黒羽 “Kuroba” and symbolizes the town spreading its wings toward the future.
