flag law. The purple flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem
is a stylized kanji 上 Kan of Kanmaki. The flower petal in the center which is a
combination of a fern pine leaf and a clover leaf symbolizes a wish for an
extension of the governmental agency and the eight leaves do a happiness, some
kinds of occupations of the residents and an importance of the town
administration.
