The South West Africa Territorial Force (SWATF) was an auxiliary arm of the South African Defence Force which comprised the armed forces of South West Africa between 1977 and the independence of Namibia in 1990. The SWAFT used a Gemsbok head as its emblem. Each of the service arms of the SWATF had a distinctive emblems featuring the wildlife of the territory. The emblem of the Reaction Force was a lion's head, the Area Force was represented by a kudu head and the Air Wing used an eagle with outstretched wings.
