It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a quartered yellow and green field.

Shield Azure, a millwheel Sable, roped and rigged Or, in base divided by a bar wavy Argent charged with two fish Gules, in chief Argent a cross fleury fitchy Gules flanked by two leaved corncobs Vert. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "ODECEIXE".
Meaning:
The millwheel represents a mill, already today existing in the commune's ex-libris. The cross alludes to the importance of the Order of St.James in the past. The corn cobs are symbolizing the importance of agriculture in local economy. The bar wavy with fish refers to the local river bank and to the Atlantic. The blue shield colour is symbolizing loyalty. The arms were designed by Ernesto C. Silva and José Marreiros.

Odeceixe is one of the four communes of Aljezur Municipality. It had 961 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 41,91 km².
