(village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "". Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE GLÓRIA E VERA CRUZ".
Meaning:
The cross is a representation of the Holy Cross, name giver of the namesake former municipality but not its patron saint. The star is an attribute of Our Lady of Glory, patron saint of the former Gloria municipality. The arms combine elements of the arms of both predecessors.

Meaning:
The eagles probably are referring to the arms of Aveiro municipality. The cross is canting and referring to the communes name.
