Shield Azure with base wavy of Argent and Azure, issuant from base a throughout bridge Or, having five arches, in chief an impending Latin cross Argent nimbed Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "SANTA CRUZ DO DOURO".
Meaning:
The cross is representing the Holy Cross, name giver of the commune. The base wavy probably is referring to Douro River.
