Shield Or a church Sable masoned Argent with port and windows Or, in dexter chief a sinister facing sparrow statant Sable garnished Or, in chief sinister a pig Sable statant garnished Or, issuant from flanches and base wavy Argent, charged with a bar wavy Azure, a mound of three coupeaux Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (commune rank) and Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE CASTRELOS E CARRAZEDO".
Meaning:
The mound is taken from the coat of arms of Carrazedo, the sparrow from those of Castrelos — there is a pig now, no cows, and the belfry was replaced by a bellless church façade without bells — even if blazoned as a belfry (Portuguese: campanário_»), it is shown with a door.
