Shield Gules with base wavy of Argent and Vert, two milk churns Argent ordered per fess, in chief a goshawk Or, holding in his claws an inescutcheon Azure, charged with five plates in quincunx.
Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "MOSTEIROS - PONTA DELGADA".
Meaning:
The goshawk is a local symbol of the Açores. The quina is a national symbol. The base with green waves is representing the Atlantic Ocean.
