The arms are Gules a paschal lamb Argent holding a cross-bearing staff Or flagged Agrent with cross throughout Gules, in chief two rounded crosses Or, in base wavy Azure a barrulet wavy Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "CAPELUDOS".
Meaning:
The lamb usually is an attribute of St. John the Baptist. The base wavy probably symbolizes little river Rio da Portela.

Capeludos Commune is one of the 14 communes of Vila Pouca de Aguiar Municipality (q.v.); it had 602 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 22,27 km².
