City of Koryazhma is one of city districts in Arkhangel'skaya Region. Its coat of arms was adopted on 27.06.2002, and its flag on 30.06.2009.
A rectangular cloth with a width-to-length ratio of 2:3, consisting of three centrally symmetrical parts: a red part at the flagpole, a green part at the free edge, and a blue stripe dividing them, edged with white lines at the edges, with a downward slope running from the upper side of the cloth to the lower one. The ratio of the width of the parts (including the edging) at their contact with the upper edge is 3:5:19. Shifted towards the middle, the cloth bears stylized images of a spruce tree, a roll of paper, and a church, partially overlapping the borders of the strip and executed in green, white, black, and yellow colors.

In short, it can be said that the flag is a banner of the arms, slightly adapted to the horizontally oblong quadrangular frame of the flag. This design was changed somewhen in the last 20 years, comparing what Vanja, Jorge, Dean and I commented back then

The coat of arms is a heraldic shield divided by a blue band on the right. In the upper part, in a green field, there is an image of a church; in the lower part, in a red (scarlet) field, there is a stylized green spruce and a white roll of paper; the silhouettes of the spruce and the church are located so that the corner of the church and the top of the spruce intersect the borders of the band; the spruce and the band are surrounded by a thin silver outline; the dome and details of the church are golden.

Another image in the
official website implies that the actual color shades of green and blue are
much more sensible than in the images shown on the
symbols page.

Description and explanation of the symbols are given in
this website. The tree and the
roll of paper symbolized the Kotlass Celulose-Paper Kombinat. In upper right
is the church, built on the place of the former monastir, and the blue
line is the river Vychegda.
