The winning design, which was designed by residents Bob Walton and Ray Wills, congratulations to them! The flag is a blue field with a white diamond with gold outlines in the center of the field. starting from the hoist are two thin lines of light blue and green, which cross over each other in the diamond and swapping on the fly side. The diamond is quad sectioned by the intersecting lines. The Cherry and the plough both refer to the agricultural history of Maugansville prior to suburbanization. The plane on the right is for the Hagerstown Aviation Museum which is due east of Maugansville. The train is for the railroad that runs through town from Greencastle to Hagerstown. The community name is arched over the diamond and lines.
