The Oregon County flag was adopted by the Oregon County Commission in 1976 as a Bi-centennial project. The flag was designed by Anita Caldwell of Thayer, Missouri and was the winner of a contest for that purpose.

When Oregon County was formed in February 1845 there were 26 states in the union and Oregon County was the 76th county to be formed. That is the reason for the 36 stars and 76 in the middle of the circle.

Its ratio is ~11:17 and shows 13 horizontal equal stripes of red and white. Centered overall a blue disc reaching to less than half the 3rd stripe at top and bottom (~7/12ths of the flag’s height) and on it the number 76 in golden cursive digits surrounded by the mentioned double ring of white stars – each star of identical size (therefore the outer ring much less tightly packed), all pointing outwards. Golden letters reading "Oregon", above, and "County", below, in a bold sans serif face, wideset and horizontally centred, the letter height about 1⁤½ stripe.
The color shades seem to be the usual and expected Old Glory red and Old Glory blue; the shade used for gold is not amber but something like honey (RGB:CC9900).
