The seal is a blue ring with the city and state named inscribed on them. In the center is a large V, as in Velma. The V separates the center into three sections. One having a horse, the second shows wheat and a cow, and the third showing an oil derrick and trailer, which are reminiscent of the town's agriculture and oil based economy.
