Eisenstadt is the capital city (Landeshauptstadt) of Burgenland. It is an
independent city i.e. is not part of any district (so-called Freistadt, "Free
City").
The flag of the city is white over red with application of the city coat of arms
on it, there is also a vertical version.

Official description (transl. by Google): "The coat of arms of the Free City of Eisenstadt depicts a red shield from the base of which rises a silver, black-mortared ashlar tower with three visible crenellations, supported by a slightly widening base. The tower features a square black window with a silver grille, and below this is a black, open, semicircular gate secured by a half-lowered silver portcullis. On the crenellated parapet of the tower stands a black eagle with a red tongue and gold talons, bearing the gold initials F.III (Ferdinand III) on its breast. A silver mural crown with five visible crenellations rests atop the shield." (source: Amtsblatt Landeshauptstadt Freistadt Eisenstadt, 2017, Nr. 2)
