The
shield is surmounted by a mural crown argent with eight towers, only five of
them visible, with doors sable (black). The crown represents the authority of
the municipality of Ubiratã.
The yellow arrows pointing upwards represent the
primitive inhabitants of the region where the town was founded: the color
symbolizes nobility, magnitude and wealth. The green tree (in Tupi-Guarani, "ubiratã",
"ironwood") indicates the town's name; the color symbolizes hope, faith, freedom
and strength. The fleur-de-lis represents freedom and the purity of the people;
white symbolizes integrity, obedience, peace and order. At the bottom, the black
helmet represents the strength of industry and commerce, symbolizing prudence,
vigor, honesty. Surrounding the shield, the yellow border highlights the
resources of the municipality; the red links signify the union of the people of
Ubiratã. The fructed soybean branch, the maize plant, the wheat stalks and the
chicken represent the agricultural and poultry resources in the municipality.
The white scroll highlights the name "Ubiratã" and the respective dates of
creation and inauguration of the municipality.
