Argent a City Gates Sable with towers roofed.
Željko Heimer, 10 February 2001
The emblem doesn't show the city gates, but the fortified bridge over the Aare river, which makes it canting (Brugg = bridge in Swiss German). Since the Middle Ages Brugg has been an important river crossing on the road from Zurich to Basel (picture).
