Gules a bend Wavy Argent in base an escallop of this Last and in
chief a castle ajouré embattled also Argent but roofed Or.

The emblem dates back to 1883 and was designed by Stanser heraldist Adalbert Vokinger. The silver castle
commemorates the two castle sites of Isenringen and Retschrieden in Beckenried. The shell is taken from
the family crest of the old Amstad family.
