Overview

There is an image at <www.gobant.gov.co>. There is the Coat of Arms or other unrecognizable device on yellow background in the centre of the flag.
Dirk Schonberger and Dov Gutterman, 15 July 2002

At <www.yali.gov.co> there is a much bigger one, and the device is clearer.
Dov Gutterman, 15 April 2004

Translated from <yali-antioquia.gov.co> :
"This flag was adopted by the municipality of Yalí, through resolution N° 2, of March 5, 1990, by the honourable municipal council. The colours white and green means the peace, tranquility and hope of our people. The yellow background of the circle represents the gold as principal source of wealth in the foundation of Yalí and the potential of solar and hydrolectric energy of our territory. The miner hand is one of the more representative icons of our community and is symbol of the foundation of Yalí and of the tenacity of our people for fight for the progress. The circunference represents the unity and the equity."
Jairo Alonso Méndez Méndez, 17 November 2007
