Störtebeker is based in Stralsund and is a brand of the Stralsunder Brewery. It is meanwhile in Germany one of the big players, selling beer all over the country.
It has the biggest high performance bottling plant with an annexed high rack storage area in Europe. The plant can actually be operated by just two men (but the miscellaneous beer crates are still filled by hand).
The brewery uses a red swallow tail pennant (see left image above) . Shifted to hoist is a white ancient ship with three masts, five sails, two flags, two crow´s nests and three gunports.
That is the logo of the company and alluding to its name giver, the famous pirate Klaus Störtebeker.

The dimensions are 200cm x 80cm, which yields a rarely used ratio of 2:5. The field colour is very close to the FOTW colour R++ [2] and it
is consistently used by the Störtebeker brand [3]. The flags used in real life may display the ship as close to the hoist (see central image above) [4, 5] but also
as centred (see right image above) [6, 7, 8], the latter being also the way it is depicted in the company logo [2, 3, 6].
