Shield parted per fess, above quartered of Argent and Sable superimposed by the blossom Argent of a Carline thistle, beneath parte per pale of Argent nd Gules charged with a picket fence in counterchanged tinctures.
Meaning:
The basic tinctures of the upper half are representing the Burgraves of Nürnberg, later Margraves of Ansbach, those of the lower half the Lords of Lentersheim. The picket fence is referring to the Upper Germanic-Rhaetian Limes. Its remains are still on the area of the municipality. The thistle is referring to the location on the slopes of Hesselberg, a local mountain.
