Shield Argent, an abased fess wavy Azure, above an embattled wall Gules masoned Sable with port Argent.
Meaning:
The fess wavy is representing the Donau (Danube) and little river Schwarzach, both crossing the municipality. Wall and port are alluding to the Imperial permission, given to the Counts of Montfort, to upgrade Ertingen to a city. The city rights however remained defunct. The port is alluding to "Törlesbauer" , a local expression describing a city gate. The colours of the wall are those of the Counts of Montfort.
