It is a blue vertical monocolour. The coat of arms is shifted towards the top. Its upper edge is either white (see left image above) or yellow (see right image above).

Fürstenstein Coat of Arms

Renaissance shield Argent a stepped gable Sable.
Meaning:
The gable, consisting of 13 black bricks ordered 1:2:3:4:3 had been the canting heraldic symbol of the Lords of Schwarzenstein. The kin played an important role between 1474 and 1597 as local rulers of Fürstenstein and Englburg. They had been in service of the Dukes of Bayern and the Bishops of Passau. After the kin had died out in 1599, the gable became a part of the arms of Barons of Taufkirchen, their successors
