It is a plain silvery grey flag with the coat of arms in its centre.
Coat of Arms:
In a silvery grey field is a jumping black stag, above a red heraldic rose having a barbed and seeded green.
Meaning:
Was given in 1980. The stag is symbolising the former name Hinthbergen, where "Hinth" is another word for stag. The rose is taken from the seal of the Todendorp family, whose name is even nowadays present in two parts of Himbergen, Groß-Thondorf and Klein-Thondorf.
The coat of arms was approved on 18 February 1981 by Uelzen county.

The ratio is approx 11:5. It is a white-green vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is slightly shifted to the hoist.
Coat of Arms:
In a silver (=white) field is a green triplemount. The central peak is nearly reaching the top edge. The shield has a wavy silver(=white) base. Above the base is a golden(=yellow) carrier's waggon, loaded with three bales of freight of the same colour.
Meaning:
The three bales are symbolising the villages of Jelmstorf, Addenstorf and Bruchtorf, forming the municipality. The wagon is symbolising that the municipality is located at the old "road of salt". The wheels can also be found in the arms of Samtgemeinde Bevensen. They are symbolising that Jelmstorf is part of Bevensen. The mountain is symbolising an field of ancient graves in Addenstorf. The base is symbolising the Ilmenau creek passing Bruchtorf.
