The flag of Bais, adopted on 10 September 1999 by the Municipal Council, is white with the municipal coat of arms, "Argent three cinquefoils azure voided palewise separated by two bars sable", which was designed by Jean-Claude Molinier and adopted on 26 February 1999 by the Municipal Council.
"Argent three cinquefoils azure" was the coat of arms of the Marquess de Montesson, lord of Bais. The bars symbolize rivers Aron and Vaudelle. The color and arrangement of the bars is to be associated with the background argent recalling the bark of a birch, thus symbolizing the alleged etymology of the village's name, from Gallic betua, "a birch"). The shield is supported are two sheaves of golden wheat crossed in saltire and tied azure, which remind the importance of agriculture. The scroll bears the name of the town in black capital letters.
