Attica, once one of the 13 administrative Greek, is since 1 January 2011 one of the 7 decentralized administrations, made of the single region of the same name. The area of Attica is 3,808 sq. km. Its 3,812,330 inhabitants (2005) represent more than 30% of the whole population of Greece. Greater Athens (433 sq. km) represents 85% of the population of Attica.

The decentralized administration and region of Attica has recently been using a new logo, but it is not yet known how it affects the appearance of the flag (if it currently has one - https://www.patt.gov.gr/en). The logo employs the national shield inside a gold laurel wreath and the name below.

The logo shown on the regional website for the Region (Peripheria) of Attica was published on 26 Feb 2024. It can also be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attica_(region).

In 2013, the Peripheria had this logo:

I think it had existed on a flag but didn't find proof of that.

Before 2013, the Peripheria used a more simple logo,
consisting of the then colorized arms of Greece with the name of the region.
Since about 2013, all the Greek regions had the same kind of logo consisting of
the monocolorized and stylized all blue arms of Greece beside their name.
For the case of Attica, the Dioikisi, which is the 1st administrative
level of Greece since the 2011 reform, and the Peripheria (2nd adm. level)
overlap, having same area and same name. The Peripheria of Attica has 8
"regional units" of which 4 of them form the City of Athens, as it is shown

The first logo that I found for the Dioikisi, possibly since 2011, can be

Since 2023, the Dioikisi uses another logo:

For administrative purposes, Attica is divided into eight regional units (North Athens, West Athens, Central Athens, South Athens, East Attica, Piraeus, Islands, and West Attica).
