Description

The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), YP 1734, 1st July 1971 (as a Local Council at that time).

Karmi'el is situated on the side of Acre-Zefat road (road 85), 22 km off Acre, in Biq'at Bet-Ha'Kerem (Vineyard House Valley), the border between the Upper and Lower Galilee's. Established in 1964. Municipality since 1984 with population of about 43'000 (2003).
The emblem's main motif is the anemone flower. Information in English at www.karmiel.muni.il.
