Regional Council Drom HaSharon (South Sharon) is situated in the centre of the country, unites 31 settlements with 21'000 inh. It was established in 1980. The Regional Council emblem combines three elements representing the three former Regional Councils which were merged into it:
The letter I received from the Regional Council said nothing
about the flag, but in the attached brochure there is a photo
showing two flags, one on orange background and the other on
green background.

In my research of municipal flags
legislation I was unable to find this emblem published in the
official gazette (Rashumot).

The city hall is at Moshav Kfar Malal and there I could check
the above information is correct. I also spotted two variants:
orange flag with green emblem and green flag with orange emblem.
(...) Instead of the full coloured emblem, on the flags there is
only an outlined one.

On the retrieved website from 2007 (2005 version not archived) a small banner photo shows the use of both the green and orange flags. Ed.
From the communal website (31.3.2026): "The Council was established on 30 March 1980, the 13th of Nissan 5770, a union of three regional councils that operated at the time: 'The Yarkon', 'Afek's Works' and 'The Middle Sharon', and the symbol was designed while combining the three elements of those councils: the Yarkon River ('Hayarkon'), the Antipater Fortress ('Afek's Works') and the citrus fruit tree (the Middle Sharon)."
