Description

Regional Council Hof HaSharon (meaning the Sharon Sea-shore) is situated on the coastline in the Sharon area between Netanya and Herzliya. The local authority is in Kibbutz Shfayim. It was established in 1949 and has 7,000 inh. in 12 settlements. The unofficial flag is the logo (furrows and waves) on white. Sources: author's observation, 29 August 2001, and this website.

The current emblem is unofficial. The official municipal emblem, not in use, was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), YP 633, 13 November 1958.

This Regional Council govern 14 entieties: 6 Moshav's (Udim, Batzra, Bet Ye'hushua, Kefar Neter, Rishpon and Bene Zion), 5 Kibbutz's (Galil Yam, Ga'ash, Yakum, Shefayim and Tel-Yitzhak) , two Communities (Arsuf and Harutzim) and a education institute (Neve Hadasah).
