The flag of Konosu City, Saitama Prefecture, was changed by City Notice No. 146 on April 1, 2021. The new city flag is a white flag with the city emblem depicted in the center. The city emblem uses the city's English initial âKâ as its motif. The green shape on the left represents nature, green plants, and the zelkova tree growing vigorously. The sky-blue shape on the right depicts a soaring stork, symbolizing leaps forward. The pink circle in the center represents a pansy, and the entire design expresses an elegant hina doll which is ornamental doll displayed in Japan for the Girls' Festival (Hinamatsuri) on March 3rd to pray for the health, growth, and good fortune of young girls.
