Located in Nagareyama City Chiba Prefecture and established in 1990. The embroidered ceremonial flag has navy blue background with a silver emblem and horizontally written in silver kanji university name in silver fringe. The university flag has navy blue background with a white emblem in the center. The three wavy lines on the university emblem represent "the abundantly flowing Edo River," the wave divider represents "the book, the symbol of the school of learning," and the wave tier represents "a holistic education that harmonizes knowledge, emotion, will, and body”. The shape of the wave leaping up at the end represents the university's founding desire to nurture human resources who will continue to leap forward into the future forever. The university kanji initials "江大" character is incorporated in the design.
