Located in Tama City Tokyo and established in 1989. The Embroidered ceremonial flag has navy blue background with a gold and silver brand mark, the university's English acronym TmU, the English Kanji university name in a circle around it and gold kanji university name vertically written in gold fringe. The navy blue is a traditional Japanese color that evokes the image of sincerity and globalism, and is the color applied to all organizations affiliated with Tama University. In order to embody the overall concept of Tamura School, which aims to nurture human resources for a global society, the university emblem uses the family emblem of the Tamura family, the parent company of the school, "Crossed hawk's feathers in a circle" to embody the image of an eagle in flight.
