At http://www.ryongnamsan.edu.kp/univ/en/about/symbols/flag, the flag of the University is described. It is "red in the background, the university logo in the upper part of the centre and the name of Kim Il Sung University in the lower part." The flag is 3 m in width and 1.8 m long and was created by people from the Pyongyang University of Fine Arts.

According to
http://www.ryongnamsan.edu.kp/univ/en/about/symbols/logo:
The logo of
Kim Il Sung university was decided on 25 September 2013 "to encourage university
graduates to cherish pride about their alma mater." The logo has a white outer
border, with red, white, and red outlines inside. The logo depicts two halves of
a circle filled with lines representing a globe, with the upper half having rays
emerge; the lower half has the tip of a pen at its end. The circle is divided by
an image of the former main building (now the digital library of the
university), and the building apparently bears the autograph of Kim Il Sung.
Above this, the name of Kim Il Sung University is read in Korean, evoking the
rays over the globe "to symbolize the present and future of Kim Il Sung
University shining on the world". To the sides of the tip of the pen, the words
"KIM IL SUNG" and "UNIVERSITY" are read; its name in English. The Mansudae Art
Studio produced the finished design for use at the front gate and rear gate on
16 February 2014.
