The coat of arms was adopted in 1999 by a call from the municipal council for submissions; the design by Rafael Morales Ali was chosen as the municipal coat of arms. Description of the coat of arms:

The quarters are in the color green and red, which represent our pertaining to Mexico. The parish of San Joaquín, patron of Palizada, and the characteristic architecture with the tile roof highlight the upper quadrant; at its side the map of the State highlighting the territory Paliceño, in its lower quarters are the elements which highlight our natural wealth, in a quadrant the Manila mangos of great tradition and production, in the following the image of a beef cattle and a fish, which highlight the economic activities of great relevance in the municipality. The coat of arms is circular, being surrounded by a golden stripe with the phrases: Palizada, the official name, 1772: the year of foundation, Patriótica y Liberal [Patriotic and Liberal]: title given to Palizada in 1868 for services to the fatherland and La Perla De Los Ríos [The Pearl of the Rivers]: name with which Palizada is recognized in the region and which we ourselves honor and commemorate with our name in order for it to continue being present and current.

The coat of arms was adopted in 1999 by a call from the municipal council for submissions; the design by Rafael Morales Ali was chosen as the municipal coat of arms. Description of the coat of arms:

In the interior portion, it has two hills which represent the place where they existed, named the Playón, of which both disappeared in the earthquake of 1818 provoked by the volcano Santa María (localized in the Republic of Guatemala), and that it gave a place to the current course of the Palizada River. Similarly, two palm trees are observed which reflect the abundance of this species between the hills. Also marked is a river which represents the course it used to take at the foot of the hills. The border of the coat of arms is the same as the city of Campeche, given to the fact that in 1857, at the erection of Campeche as a state, Palizada supported the movement.
