The coat of arms was adopted in 1985, being designed by Pedro Zapata as a representative of Regional Services in the Municipality. It was adopted during the term of 2016-2019 officially. The shield is crowned with branches to the side, alluding to the state coat of arms. Under the crown are the national colors, having at the bottom a dove for peace carrying a ribbon reading the municipal name. The inner section is divided horizontally by the road to the town, the main access point, and vertically the railroad that passes through the municipality. The upper-left depicts a crossed pick and shovel for its mining industry, to the upper-right a church for religion, to the lower-left two wolves passing through a tree also remembering the State, and to the lower-right a fleur-de-lis, unknown for what purpose (maybe its beginnings?)
