Shield Argent, a fess Sable charged with three cogwheels Or in fess, the central wheel being bigger, in chief two grapevines Purpure leafed Vert in fess, in base two barrulets Azure, above a bunch of rice ears Proper tied Gules. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "BARRÔ". The coat of arms, and thus also the flag, was changed in 2006, because the old coat of arms displayed on the black fess a triplet of red cogwheels, thus not matching the tincture rules of heraldry.
