It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of green and yellow.

Coat of Arms

Shield Or a pale Azure cobbled Or flanked by two eradicated pine trees Vert, over all on fess point a scallop Argent. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "PASSÔ - MOIMENTA DA BEIRA".
Meaning:
The scallop is an attribute of St. James the Elder, the local patron saint.

Passô is one of the 13 communes of Moimenta da Beira Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 287 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 3,17 km².
