The arms are Argent a cross fleury fitchy Purpure, a well Gules masoned Argent and flanked by two storks Proper respectant. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading "POCEIRÃÃO - PALMELA" in black upper case letters.
Meaning:
The cross is a so called St. James' sword, alluding to the order of that saint. "Poceirão" means "big wetland" (or some such) in Portuguese; popular etymology may link it to the remote cognate "poço", "well", as an augmentative - the arms being thus partially canting.

Poceirão Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Palmela Municipality (q.v.); it had 4758 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 147.1 km².
