Shield Or a cross raguly coupe Azure, ensigned by an 5-pointed estoile Azure and an European black elder branch Vert fructed proper in orle.
Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading
in black upper case serifed letters "SABUGUEIRO - SEIA".
Meaning:
The star on the coat of arms has the same meaning as so many other civic arms in this area, canting for the Star Range (Portuguese: Serra da Estrela).
The word "sabugueiro" means "European black elder" and the arms are therefore partly canting.
