[Santa Marinha commune CoA (until 2013)] image by António Martins-Tuválkin andSérgio Horta, 18 July 2025

Shield Argent, issuant from a naturalistic base Vert, charged with an ewe and lamb Argent garnished Sable, a tree Vert, flanked at dexter by a grape bunch Purple leafed Vert and at sinister by an ear of rye Or, in dexter chief the local pillory Argent garnished Sable, in sinister chief by two swords Argent garnished Sable pointing downwards and crossed per saltire. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "VILA DE SANTA MARINHA".
Meaning:
The pillory on the arms is a representation of the actual medieval monument, which contains a Solomon Seal, suggesting the presence of crypto Jews, very likely in the early 16th century.
The 1514 royal grant that substantiates the town rank for the settlement, see here contains, at the bottom of the first folio, an archbishop´s coat of arms (green hat, 10 tassles in 4 orders): Azure five falcons (?) proper stantant arrayed per quincunx.

Coat of Arms

[São Martinho commune CoA (until 2013)] image by António Martins-Tuválkin andSérgio Horta, 18 July 2025

Shield Azure a tower Argent masoned Sable with port and windows Gules, accompanied at dexter by a chestnut twig Or with its burrs cracked Proper and at sinister by a grape bunch Or leafed Argent, in chief a 5-point estoile Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "S. MARTINHO - SEIA".
Meaning:
The symbolism of the star is the same as on the municipal arms and in so many other local arms in this region: the Star mountain range (Serra da Estrela). The other charges have, I presume, their trivially denotative meanings.
