Shield Argent, in base a bar wavy Azure charged with a barrulet wavy Argent, issuant from bar a cargo vessel (Port.: barco rabelo) Sable rigged Gules, in chief a grapevine Purpure leaved Vert in either corner. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "SOUTELO DO DOURO"
Meaning:
The bar wavy is representing Douro River. Vessel and grapevines are representing the production and transportation of vines.

Soutelo do Douro is one of the communes of São João da Pesqueira Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 459 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 18,2 km².
