The National Fire Agency was established on March 1, 1995; prior to that,
fire departments in Taiwan were part of the National Police Agency.
The
flag of the National Fire Agency is blue, with a yellow emblem depicting a
phoenix with five feathers on each wing, resting on a half-wreath made of a pair
of three water waves, a pair of five Umbrella Plant leaves and a cauldron-shaped
lotus, all underneath the 'Blue Sky White Sun' emblem.
The colors of the flags are officially defined as Pantone 293C (blue field), Pantone 116C (yellow emblem) and Pantone 286C (blue disc).

The fire unit flag has the unit name written in black on a white vertical
strip at the hoist. It has no fringe, and can be either hoisted or fixed onto a
flagpole.
