Description

Best Western International, Inc., is an international hotel chain that operates in the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and throughout Europe and Asia under the names Best Western, Best Western Premier, and Best Western Plus. Founded in 1946, the company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Having stayed at several Best Western hotels, most of them have flagpoles in front flying the American flag, the state flag, and then the Best Western corporate flag. The Best Western corporate flag features the corporate logo centered on a white field. The logo itself is a stylized, rounded, blue pentagon, fimbriated yellow, fimbriated blue. Inside the pentagon is the company name in large yellow letters, centered below a stylized red crown.

On my recent trip to Culpeper, Virginia, I noted that the Best Western hotel there was flying a different corporate flag - the Best Western logo on a blue field. A photograph of a Best Western hotel flying the same flag can be seen at www.waymarking.com.
