The seal is made of a white ring which is inscribed with the city name and founding year, which are seperated by a star on either side. In the center are three features core to the city. The first is the Hartford & Slocomb Railroad 913, a 1950 American Locomotive Company RS-1 diesel locomotive which ran from 1953 until 1992 where it was donated to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum. The second shows two tomatoes-on-a-vine, a prominent crop in the reagion and the Slocomb Tomatoe Festival. The third is the town's Gazebo located in the aptly named Slocomb Gazebo Park.
